(Lori) Higgs, and Anna Maria (Gary) Higgs-Gray 9 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren siblings, Betty (Lealand) Joyce, Barry (Janie) Higgs, Dolly Rein, Jacob (Nancy) Higgs, Jr., and Michael (Stephanie) Higgs. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Higgs daughter, Renda Grawitch and her husband, Chris sister, Brenda Abernathy brother-in-law, Keith Rein and 2 grandchildren. He was born on December 5, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Jacob Higgs, Sr., and Ivol (Davis) Higgs. Billy could be found at all hours in his garage working or tinkering on something. He loved mowing grass and working with his hands. He retired from Kitchen Kompact after 38 years of employment. Billy was raised in Roundhill, Kentucky, in Butler County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Murrel Higgs, brothers, Paul, George, Alvin, Herb, and Larry Higgs and sisters, Neva Ullrich, Helen Bailey, Lottie Holland, Carolyn Sue Kruger Marcoux, and Eula Higgs.Billy Devone Higgs, 81, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. He dearly loved and was very proud of all his children and grandchildren, and leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews whom he also cared deeply for. Kinney, all of Altamont, Ashley Kyle of Effingham, and Kristen (husband, Justin) Brown of Mattoon and great-granddaughter, Josephine Brown. Kinney, stationed at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan, and Kaleb J. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Deanna Higgs of Altamont three daughters, Anita Lynn Kinney of Effingham, Tanya Lee (husband, Kevin) Knierim of Altamont, and Erin Elizabeth Higgs of St. Ronnie also was a Union Carpenter for 60 years. Ronnie was a well-known bass tournament fisherman, and he enjoyed hunting both deer and mushrooms. He was united in marriage to Deanna Sue Shelton on Septemat Altamont Christian Church in Altamont. In 1964, Ronnie was drafted into the US Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Polk, LA. He attended Osteen School and Altamont Public Schools.
